Street Video Cameras

One of the things we can do for our collective security is to have an idea of who has cameras on the street that might help figure out who was around when something happens. These were a big help the other month when some sketchy guys were knocking on various doors in the hood and trying front door knobs.

Part of the thought is to have a few higher definition cameras (probably 8k) that can read license plates if needed.  If we had a few of those, had a list of who had the records, then on an as needed basis, we might be able to help the police track down what happened if we did have a burglary, assault,  illegal immigrants landing on the beach and loading a van on our streets (it happened a few months ago!)

Anyway, something to consider.
